I confess that I didn't get round to creating a recovery disk or make any system backups (I know, my bad ...). The Repair/Diagnosis fails and I end up on a blue screen that says the problem couldn't be diagnosed and provides options to "Restart Computer" (which just leads into the same loop) Autoplay When autoplay is enabled, a suggested video will automatically play next. It would be better if you use the installation media provided by Microsoft to upgrade. Source
