I currently have 2TB of data on there (including an OS image I did just before the upgrade as an extra prep step), so reformatting the volume is not an option Can't operate in full SATA mode in Installation & Setup this is an ASUS X83V notebook - Setting the SATA operation to 'compatible' mode at installation, Win8 CP installed fine, no Lost or Corrupt Drive System Files 4.

i have reinstalled driver hardware too and it comes up with device working properly and drivers working properly and updated. I don't understand this and it's a big headache. have a nice moments. My BIOS has no newer version. It shows healthy but on right clicking, all the options are blocked, except for Help option.
It shows up in the disk drive list, but not the disk mgmt. A dynamic disk will show up as foreign to a different OS, and have to be imported. Windows see's and runs the SSD just fine, but I can't see the Toshiba HDD in disk management or anywhere else for that matter. Kindly help if I do the initialize first and can do recovery as well?
Fixed it in literally 5 minutes following you're detailed instructions. Well, i did. I still can see the hard drive in Disk Management but not in explorer. I have a 2TB Seagate USB drive.
