The first time, I kept on doing system restores to see what was the problem that made that black screen. Waking it by pushing the power button doesn't seem to result in the same problem (at least of the computer going to sleep after 2 minutes of idle). Also in my case Ctrl+Alt+Del was returning the screen back to life! I've also run several Chkdsk /r /v scans.
