I'm sure they would be happier if nothing ever changed in the world.On reflecting, I really shouldn't be surprised at all, after all, it's just a case of deja vu, except OSX also now forces their app store on Mac desktop users but my experience has been those apps work just like traditional apps once installed. Besides, Microsoft is headed toward abandonment of their mobile effort (unless you think $7 billion dollar right-offs are a good thing). I payed money for those programs just to have Microsoft delete them, and not say anything no warnings it just removes them.

People make such a big deal about 8.1's start menu: you don't need the bloody thing, it's pathetic. The Windows Store is a very sad place. There are some convenient features compared to 7, like maps, twitter, FB but that all comes at a CPU and memory cost.
