I have two additional internal SATA hard drives and had no issue installing the Anniversary Update using the Media Creation Tool generated installation USB flash drive. The Extend Display option works correctly! I could see that making a restart of gfx driver with devcon.exe command solved it, and things was working great until next reboot.
