Re the Win8 charms. The only way I can temporarily fix this is by restarting the modem - once it's been rebooted it accepts the security key and allows me to connect. But i cannot switch my computor off, not even if i right click on the start windows button. Tried to boot from the original MS windows 7 32 bits dvd, but same result: black screen & nothing happen. have a peek here

I noticed you have an normal ethernet adapter (Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller) can you temporarily connect that with a standard Cat5 cable and see if the problem persists? Over time, Microsoft Edge should become more reliable, but right now it's very, very buggy on some sites. Im using windows 8.

i know its not wrong. It could be your wifi router - for example can you connect to the internet using a smart phone or another computer? Powered by GitHub Pages and jekyll. I think it is a difference between UK and US keyboard layouts.
Jane I have all the problems listed and still have them despite unchecking the item... Some websites (one in particular) not loading... when i re-enter the same key that i previesly entered then it connects and after sone time this happens again. Therefore certain websites are inaccessible or you have to keep disconnecting from the WiFi and reconnecting to get some sites to work.
Sure didn't. Yay, I thought. I did download the new driver for my card and installed it but it won't update. I even had troubleshooting "fix" the problem (http://www.kapilarya.com/fix-windows-media-player-has-stopped-working), but that lasted a half hour before it started closing down again.
I tried to pay bills today and ended up using my phone. Credit goes to MakeUseOf user Konstantin for his comment, which seemed to solve the issue for a lot of people. For example, the debut of the Windows 10 Creators Update is set for this spring.
