The memory is set to the proper voltage and timings, even with the BIOS setting set to "Auto." I haven't been able to reproduce the problem on command. Many Thanks, Jay Robbo_J VG, Merry Christmas. I thought I would post an update! (I'm on build 10074 now.) I've now determined that the problem occurs after the computer goes into sleep, hibernation or is shut down. Restarts continue to be successful until system is shut down or sleeps.

Bhavya I have a problem with my notebook. So certain things don't work like opening or closing applications but the cursor can still be moved. Some modern computers cannot boot from a usb stick though, so it's probably easier to burn to dvd. Claudia I have a Windows 8 lenovo.

Now finally fixed, thank you for the information. I turned AHCI mode on for all SATA controllers, TRIM ( for the SSD ) is enabled. After a few minutes it was frozen. If there are too many more builds, I won't have any services running at all.
If the command in the command prompt (admin) doesn't work, shall I come back here? I tried all the buttons for restart that I could find but nothing.
