Now, 4 hours later, I have Thunderbird up and running, not missing a single account, e-mail or Storage folder. But not sure why they wouldn't work unless they shut down imap/pop which i doubt. It may not have the features you prefer, but it's supported and generally dependable. I tried looking for them on MSN.com and they also aren't showing up there???? I just live with it. In addition, I have dozens of different mailing lists, and neither of these programs allows me to keep them configured as Live Mail does now. (I spent over four hours at Thankfully I ran across this thread yesterday and started by setting up an IMAP acct for the one that quit working. If you have a copy of the Outlook program from Microsoft Office 2007, 2010 or later, that will also work on all supported versions of Windows.
After changing, and deleting the original Accts, all my Contacts etc were still in place-and have been ever since. Especially in terms of sending/receiving emails and making sure they are synced across different platforms? I had to restore my computer to be able to get my mail. Well, the deadline has gone, and there’s at least one case where Windows Live Mail 2012 is still working unchanged after an upgrade to Windows 10.

Had no idea it was going to happen. Windows Live Mail 2012 does not support the synchronization technologies used by the new Outlook.com. All your mail will still be there after June 30th. I'll walk you through the settings.
I close the offending program. This included mail from 2 other servers which could then be accessed through my Mail Inbox.
