You can try opening the photos in IE etc to prove it's a Photo Viewer issue. I suggest you use ShellExview to remove the third-party shell extension. Aug 16, 2009 #7 syzygy TS Rookie Topic Starter Posts: 21 Well, I have found a difference between image files that will open and ones that will not -- using Windows I could almost suspect mass file corruption as I used to be able to open them all no problem. Several of the images that can't be previewed are from a professional studio that took some PR photos for the University. In other words passing an image through Photoshop converts it from being unable to open to being able to open in Windows picture and fax viewer.
