I've even created scripts to delete Visual Studio debug and trace files, but that doesn't fix that my Windows folder is taking 30 out of my 50 Gbs (Most of it Delete them in WINSXS as well! Garvin has no authority granted by the Microsoft Corporation to tell anyone anything. Knowing this was the case, Microsoft consulted a number of enterprise customer to determine whether a WinSxS dependent on the Desktop Experience feature would be viable to enterprise customers. As of 2008, Microsoft decided that SystemState should be a virtual OS volume backup and of course this includes the winsxs folder. The winsxs directory takes up 11GB.
